#5. Seamlessly Move Items Between the Phone and a Windows 8 Computer

Windows Phone 8 and Windows 8 are designed to coincide with one another to make it easier to move things from one to the other. These items include ringtones, documents, photos, music and more. The Windows Phone app is required to make this process possible, and it can be acquired either by downloading it from the Windows Store or simply by plugging your Windows Phone 8 smartphone into your computer. It also works with Windows 7 and Mac computers so long as you get the Windows Phone app.

#4. Keep Your Phone Kid-Proof

Windows Phone 8 has a cool feature that allows you to keep your smartphone safe from your kids or young relatives when they want to play with it. Kids Corner allows you to set certain apps to which you will allow kids access. Everything else is hidden, which means you won’t have to worry about a child accidentally dialing a number or accidentally sending an embarrassing email to someone. You can create a password that brings you back from Kids Corner to your normal home screen as well.

#3. Great Customization Abilities

With Windows Phone 8, you can customize the look and feel of your home screen. Choose a color for your tiles from 21 color choices to suit your mood or preference and pin your favorite apps to the home screen. You can also size your apps to your liking, from small to medium to large. There is no limit to how many tiles you can pin or on which tiles you can pin or unpin. You can also choose from a photo, Bing or certain apps to use as your lock screen.

#2. People Hub

The People Hub is a spectacular feature that brings all of your contacts together in one convenient location. It integrates your general phone contacts with your email, Facebook and Twitter contacts, allowing you the ability to choose the manner in which you want to contact someone.

#1. Data Sense

Data Sense is a nifty feature that enables you to track the amount of data used on your Windows Phone 8 smartphone. It is built into the device and is easy to use as all that is needed is to set a limit for your data by day or month. The feature will alert you as to your usage so that you do not go over your limit.

Mobile phones are used for a variety of purposes, including keeping in touch with family members, conducting business, and having access to a telephone in the event of an emergency. Some people carry more than one cell phone for different purposes, such as for business and personal use. Multiple SIM cards may also be used to take advantage of the benefits of different calling plans—a particular plan might provide cheaper local calls, long-distance calls, international calls, or roaming.
