Who knows exactly what the next 12 months will bring, but one thing we do know for sure is that we couldn’t be more excited about it. So here are three great products we just can’t wait to get our hands on this year.

Just remember, if you splash out ensure you visit the Swinton website for cheap home insurance policies and make sure you’re covered. Now back to the gadgets.

So, here goes:

SmartSkin smartphones

We all like to personalise our phones. With background pictures, ring tones and all the latest features. But from a distance it’s difficult to differentiate from one phone to the next. Not any more with the new smartskin smartphone pioneered by Samsung and set to be in our shops at some point this year.

The concept is that a layer of smart skin will be placed around the phone, which is able to take on the appearance of any image or photo chosen by the user. It’s a simple concept, but one which will revolutionise the way we customise our phones in 2013.

Kindle Fire

Yes we know this one is already out, and if you already have an iPad or iPad mini it’s not for you. But there are many of us out there who don’t have a tablet and are put off by the price of the Apple products. You can do so much on an iPad, but for some of us we’ll never even scratch the surface of this capability. If all you want a tablet for is to surf the net, check your emails, and stream videos and music the Kindle Fire is the right choice for you. It’s reasonably priced too.

Smart Glasses

Google are pioneering this kind of product, set to drop in 2013 but there will be other products on the market too. Basically when you don this special eyewear you’ll have information presented right in front of your eyeballs – it’s literally the ultimate in on the move computing. It’s most likely set to be location based too, so you’ll get new information thrown at you as you move through the city. We can’t wait for this one!

What gadgets are you looking forward to this year?
